How to Own Your Disruptive Force.

With the coming of the New Year we are that much closer to PBExpo 2018, and we could not be more excited for the inaugural event. It is not just an aviation show, but an – Aviation, Aerospace, Big Data, Ecommerce, Cyber Security, and so much more … show. The reason we chose to incorporate all of these subjects is because, whether we want to admit it or not, the world is massively changing–thanks to some incredible technologies. We at PartsBase want to help others in the field, and our loyal customers, stay ahead of the curve!

We are excited, and honored, to have Terry Jones (Travelocity.com, Kayak.com, Wayblazer.ai) as our Keynote speaker. He is incredibly influential and keenly in-tune with societal trends and needs; and Terry has plenty to share in terms of solidifying business plans and “becoming your business’ disruptive force”.

Disruptive Force?

Yes, you heard correctly. A disruptive force is when a new entrant joins a certain field and, more often than not, brings new technologies with them. They utilize their unique position in order to completely change the fabric of their field, which significantly disrupts the market.

So why is disruption important? Disruption can make business titans crumble to the ground, and launch small businesses towards success. An innovative idea is all that it takes to revolutionize the game, and with the recent advancements in technology in the shape of –Internet of Things (IoT), block chain technology, data analysis, artificial intelligence, and mobile applications; the change is coming faster, bigger, and more efficient than ever previously seen.

Terry Jones recognizes this, which is only part of the reason why we chose to have him as a keynote speaker for PBExpo 2018, and he has the ability to help sculpt business models to more readily conform to the ever-changing business models we are seeing sprout today. One of the many fields he touches upon, and one we will take a further look into now, is Data Analysis.

Data Analysis and What to Do With It.

If your business utilizes new technologies, chances are that there are large quantities of data also being produced. This data is incredibly valuable but, more often than not, businesses have a hard time deciding what exactly to do with all the information they produce or are given by their consuming market. There is roughly 2.5 quintillion bites (1,000,000,000,000,000,000) of information that is consumed daily … now imagine if we did absolutely nothing with that data. We would lose vital data gained, and business development would grind to a stop.

It is a business’ duty to determine the best ways to use the data they collect, whether that is to store it for their own commercial use, to sell to another source for added capital, or to hire analysts to break it down into practical and usable leads or information. The important thing is that you actively use that information, because if you let it go to waste another business will utilize it and surpass you. If you are hesitant to head this advice, you will quickly become “irrelevant” in your field and leftin the dust by the competition.

Become Your Disruptor.

Depending where you are standing changes one’s perspective on the “disruptor versus innovator” argument. You can either watch businesses take over your market and technologies, or you can take hold of the reins and dictate your market trends.
